WELCOME TO THE OLA SPORTS PROGRAM 3/19/2012 IMPORTANT PLAYOFF SCHEDULE UPDATE ===================================== The seedings and final schedules for playoffs have been determined as follows: Division I (5-8th Grade) Tuesday, March 20, 7:30pm - #5 Friars vs. #4 Rams (Play-in game to determine 4th Seed) Thursday, March 22, 7:30pm - #3 Terriers vs. #2 Red Storm (Semi-final) Thursday, March 22, 8:30pm - #4 Winner vs. #1 Jaspers (Semi-final) Friday, March 23, 7:30pm - CHAMPIONSHIP GAME Division II (2-4th Grade) Tuesday, March 20, 6:30pm - #4 Tigers vs. #1 Clippers (Semi-final) Thursday, March 22, 6:30pm - #3 Knights vs. #2 Falcons (Semi-final) Friday, March 23, 6:30pm - CHAMPIONSHIP GAME 3/12/2012 PLAYOFF SCEHDULE IS ANNOUNCED The much anticipated 2012 OLA Intramural Basketball Playoff Schedule has been announced. Teams from all Divisions will compete in this SINGLE ELIMINATION tournament. The Winners of each Division will have their name ingraved in the CHAMPIONSHIP trophy on display in the main hallway of Holy Angels Catholic Academy. Here is how the schedule will be played by Division: Division I (5-8th Grade) Tuesday, March 20, 7pm - #5 Seed vs. #4 Seed (Play-in game to determine 4th Seed) Wednesday, March 21, 7:30pm - #3 Seed vs. #2 Seed (Semi-final) Thursday, March 22, 7:30pm - #4 Seed vs. #1 Seed (Semi-final) Friday, March 23, 7:30pm - CHAMPIONSHIP GAME Division II (2-4th Grade) Wednesday, March 21, 6:30pm - #3 Seed vs. #2 Seed (Semi-final) Thursday, March 22, 6:30pm - #4 Seed vs. #1 Seed (Semi-final) Friday, March 23, 6:30pm - CHAMPIONSHIP GAME Team seedings will be determined at the conclusion of the regular schedule. 3/5/2012 Season is coming to an end --- please review schedule as some changes have been made. Playoff schedule to commence at the conclusion of the regualr season. Stay tuned for details. 1/17/2012 Please note changes for all games scheduled for 2/3, now moved to 2/4 due to a conflict in the gym. 1/10/2012 Intramural season begins Thursday night for Division I, Friday Night for Division II. Expect coaches to call individual players/parents about team assignment and schedules. 1/3/2012 -- Happy New Year. Division 1 & II Game Schedules posted on the website are now OFFICIAL. Please remember that the Intramural Combine starts this week: Division I (5th-8th Grade) will begin with a Player Combine on Thursday, January 5 from 6:30-8:00pm in the OLA Gym. All players must attend the full session. Teams will be formulated by the coaches after the Combine with games commencing the following week. Intramural play for 2nd-4th Grade will begin with a practice at the OLA Gym on Friday, January 6 from 6:30pm-8:00pm. Get set for an exciting year! 12/23/2011====MERRY CHRISTMAS OLA Intrmural Basketball 2012 is starting to heat up!! Division I (5th-8th Grade) will begin with a Player Combine on Thursday, January 5 from 6:30p-8:00pm in the OLA Gym. All players must attend the full session. Teams will be formulated by the coaches after the Combine with games commencing the following week. Intramural play for 2nd-4th Grade will begin with a practice at the OLA Gym on Friday, January 6 from 6:30-8:00pm. Get set for an exciting year! Gary Friedle has arranged for Friday night games to be complete with music, food and a game announcer -- and with an extended Friday night schedule to include our seasoned, Division I players --- it will be a great night at the gym for the whole family. The full game schedule for Intramurals will be posted by January 3. 10/25/2011 Congratulations to the coaches and players of the 5th Grade Travel Basketball Team for thier tenacious 2nd Place finish in the Pre-Season Travel Basketball Tournament last weekend. Games originally scheduled for Friday 2/4 have been moved to Saturday 2/5 due to a conflict with the HACA Olympics. SPRING 2011 BASEBALL REGISTRATIONS are still being accepted. Please download the form from www.olasports.org and return with payment to the OLA Rectory. =============================== January 24, 2011 Division II Bonus games on 1/30 have had a TIME change to begin at 12pm instead of 2pm. =================================== January 15, 2011 SEASON BONUS GAMES ADDED TO DIVISION II Parents, players and coaches, please check the Division II schedule for 2nd-4th Graders for Practice Games ADDED to the schedule on 1/30 at 2pm & 3pm. Games DO NOT count towards season standings. Come out to the gym on Sunday, January 30 at OLA and have some FUN with the whole family !!! FREE ADMISSION. ===================================== January 2, 2011 Intramural player draft has been completed resulting in an UPDATE of the DIVISION II (2-4th Grade) Schedule. Players will be contacted by their coaches this week. ===================================== December 29, 2010 INTRAMURAL SCHEDULES ARE NOW POSTED Division I (5th-8th Grade) play will begin on January 6 at 7pm. Division II (2nd-4th Grade) will begin play on Sunday, January 9 at 4:30pm. Players will be assigned to teams by Monday, January 3 and contacted by the coaching staff at that time. ALL REGISTRATION FORMS AND FEES MUST BE SUBMITTED or players WILL NOT be allowed to take the court. Forms and Fess can be returned to the Rectory. |
